Bye bye TYPO3 4.1 !
TYPO3 4.1 is officialy announced as dead.
So you're invited to upgrade to a newer version.
TYPO3 4.1.15, 4.2.14, 4.3.5 and 4.4.2 announced
A small post only to say that 4 new versions of TYPO3 are available for download:
- 4.1.15
- 4.2.14
- 4.3.5
- 4.4.2
TYPO3 4.4.0 RC1 available
Today, the TYPO3 community released the first Release Candidate of TYPO3 4.4. The final version will be released on June 22nd, 2010 as planned. Since the last 4.4 release of beta3, three weeks ago, there have been changes to Caching Framework, which got some updates from its counterpart in the TYPO3 Phoenix project, updates to the Rich Text Editor and the icons and styling of the TYPO3 Backend.

TYPO3 Association extraordinary General Assembly
On May 10th and 11th the TYPO3 Associations Board and Steering Committee (SC) met in Munich for an extraordinary General Assembly. As planned on the regular General Assembly in March the new bylaws had been prepared and voted for.

TYPO3 4.4 beta 2 released !
Today, the TYPO3 community released the second beta of the upcoming version 4.4 of TYPO3. There is already a feature freeze in place since beta1, thus the last weeks have been all about bugfixing - over 80 changes were made during the development. Additionally, the last few features have finally made its way into the TYPO3 Core.
- 1-2-3 Installer with DBAL enabled
- Reorganized CSS Files in the Backend
- CSS and Javascript Concatenator and Compressor
- For all Developers: A Backend Debug Bar
- Updated Fluid and Extbase versions

If, as me, you've encountered some problems to log in to your TYPO3 installation from differents locations, by having the error message :
This host address ("******") and the referer host ("") mismatches!
The solution is to add the next line to your localconf.php :
$TYPO3_CONF_VARS['SYS']['doNotCheckReferer'] = 1;
TYPO3 4.4 beta 1 released
The first beta release also means that 4.4 is now feature complete, and in order to keep the aimed release date, we've had to cut down on some improvements and features, which are postponed to 4.5, coming in late 2010. Nevertheless, this release is packed with some amazing visual changes as well as some cool modifications under the hood:

Student application for Google Summer of Code is now open
Yesterday evening Google opened the student application phase for Google Summer of Code 2010. Students can now start handing in applications for projects they want to work on during the summer.
At TYPO3, you can find a list of project ideas our community has come up with. It's also worth re-checking the ideas page as some additions have been made since we created those pages for this years Google Summer of Code.
